3-year-old injured on ATV driven by 8-year-old in Morgan County

A 3-year-old passenger on an ATV and its 8-year-old driver were injured Sunday afternoon when the all-terrain vehicle hit a fence in Ezel, in Morgan County, Kentucky State Police said.

Both children were treated at the scene by Morgan County EMS, then taken to Morgan County ARH Hospital in West Liberty. The 3-year-old was airlifted to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.

State police said neither child was wearing a helmet.
