Eastern Kentucky University police are investigating an apparent robbery at Clay Hall on the EKU campus Sunday night.

EKU spokesman Marc Whitt said three males in a room at the residence hall reported being robbed at about 11 p.m. Sunday.

It was unclear whether they were all roommates, he said.

According to initial reports, two men entered the room wearing masks and displayed guns, EKU officials said.

"They reportedly took some items, and EKU Police are investigating to determine what those items were," Whitt said.

EKU issued a campus alert following the incident.

"Safety is always priority one," Whitt said.
