Eastern Kentucky University police have arrested a student from Florida in connection with an armed robbery over the weekend at a campus dorm.

Zain Gilmore, 19, a finance major from Tampa, Fla., is charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary, according to EKU officials.

Gilmore is being held in the Madison County jail, university officials said.

He was arrested in connection with a robbery about 11 p.m. Sunday at Eastern's Clay Hall.

EKU officials said three men were in a dorm room when two men wearing masks entered the room, displayed guns and took undisclosed items.
