Whether you want to know more about gender partisanship in Congress or about the antimalarial properties of certain alkaloids, there's plenty to learn at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research now on display at Memorial Coliseum.

More than 4,000 students from colleges and universities around the country have turned that space into a sophisticated, multidisciplinary science fair.

The conference, which runs through Saturday, will feature performances and lectures from Kris Kimel, founder of the IdeaFestival and president of the Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation; and National Book Award winner Nikky Finney.
