Pass the popcorn: Game being shown at two theaters

If you want to watch Kentucky play UConn on a theater screen, at least two venues in Lexington are planning to show it — for free. Here are the details.

Kentucky Theatre. 214 E. Main St., (859) 231-6997, Game will be shown free in the smaller State Theater, which will open about 7 p.m. Monday. Tickets are required and are available at the door. Popcorn, concessions, soda and beer for sale.

Movie Tavern. 133 N. Locust Hill Dr., (859) 266-4667, The combination restaurant and movie theater will have two screens devoted to Monday's game. Admission is free, but tickets are required (limit of two per person); available first-come, first-served at 10 a.m. Monday.
