49 dead horses found on Pendleton County property

A Pendleton County man has been cited after police and animal control officials found 49 dead horses on his property.

Larry Butler, 63, was cited for 49 counts of not disposing of an animal carcass within 48 hours, according to a news release from state police.

WKYT reported that Butler, a horse trader, also faces 14 counts of animal cruelty after 14 horses were removed from the property Monday.
