Louisville man charged with murder in fatal shooting in Floyd County

Kentucky State Police arrested a Louisville man after a fatal shooting Tuesday in Floyd County.

Tyler Shehan, 23, was being held in the Floyd County jail on one count of murder and four counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, according to the Pikeville state police post.

Troopers were dispatched to the Bypro community in Floyd County about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday on a report of a shooting.

State police said troopers arrived to find Rodney Mullins, 43, of Melvin, also in Floyd County, dead of gunshot wounds.

Police arrested Shehan shortly afterward.

The case remains open.
