■ Klaravich Stables and William Lawrence's Ready to Act, winner of the Sweetest Chant at Gulfstream Park in her lone 2014 start, headlines a field of eight 3-year-old fillies entered for Sunday's 29th running of the Grade II, $200,000 Beaumont Stakes. Trained by Chad Brown, Ready to Act broke her maiden in her debut and finished sixth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf.

■ Hill 'N Dale Farm's Sir Applesolutely surged past pace-setting Console inside the sixteenth pole to win the featured $64,000 Brookdale Purse for 4-year-olds and up by 1½ lengths on Thursday. Trained by Neil Pessin and ridden by Shaun Bridgmohan, Sir Applesolutely covered the 6½ furlongs on the fast main track in 1:16.18.
