Lexington likes its Maker's Mark and its football. Fans of the bourbon's commemorative editions began lining up on Thursday, bottles in hand, for the annual ritual signing at Keeneland on Friday.

University of Kentucky football Coach Mark Stoops signed bottles, along with Maker's Mark Chief Operating Officer Rob Samuels, Maker's Mark Chairman Emeritus Bill Samuels, and Keeneland president and CEO Bill Thomason.

Stoops is featured on the black 2014 Keeneland Maker's Mark bottle with blue wax; for the third year in a row, proceeds benefit the Gill Heart Institute at UK Healthcare. The Loretto distillery produced 10,000 of the commemorative bottles, with a goal of raising $500,000 over the three years.

Maker's Mark has partnered with Keeneland for commemorative bottles for 18 years, raising more than $7.1 million for Central Kentucky charities.
