Nicholasville motorcyclist dies after wreck

A Nicholasville man died after a motorcycle accident Saturday, according to the Fayette County coroner's office.

James Hopkins, 43, was pronounced dead at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, the news release said.

Hopkins was operating a motorcycle without a helmet when he lost control of the vehicle and it wrecked at U.S. 27 and Elizabeth Street in Jessamine County, the release said. The accident happened about 6 p.m. Saturday.
