The Rev. Mark Davis, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, and the Rev. Brian Cole, rector of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd collaborated with artists to create a processional bringing the account of Jesus' suffering and death to the streets of Lexington on Wednesday night.

Starting at 6:30 p.m., the processional included 14 Stations of the Cross spread over a 2-mile walking course through downtown. Each stop featured an art element — sculpture, paintings or poetry — and Scripture.

Easter celebrates Christ's resurrection. This year, Easter is April 20. This is the first time the two churches have joined for the Stations of the Cross.
