A 17-year-old girl and a 19-year-old man have been charged with first-degree robbery of a man who had tried to solicit sex online, police say.

When the man, from Frankfort, met the girl on the 1000 block of North Limestone at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, a man wearing a bandana approached with a gun and robbed him of "several hundred dollars in cash," said Lexington police Lt. Eddie Hart.

The two then left together, and the man flagged down a police officer for help, Hart said.

Hart said police found the robber, Marshall McAdams, 19, and the 17-year-old, who is not being identified because she is a juvenile, walking through a parking lot on New Circle Road near Bryan Avenue.

Hart said McAdams still had the handgun on him. Both were charged with first-degree robbery.

Hart said the man who had tried to solicit sex was not charged, but "he went back to Frankfort with less money than he came to Lexington with in his pocket."
