Autism Awareness event Sunday at Fire Station 20

April is Autism Awareness month and the Lexington Fire Department is hosting an Autism Safety Day from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Fire Station 20, 3001 Arrowhead Drive, across from the Beaumont shopping center on Harrodsburg Road.

Children can meet firefighters and police officers and get an up-close look at fire trucks and police cruisers. An emergency information form, specially designed with autism in mind, will be available. For more information, contact Major John Gosper at (859) 231-5648.
