A Morehead man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Rowan County.

Thomas Allen Mabry, 52, was thrown from his 2003 Ford pickup on Open Fork Road in Rowan County when his vehicle left the road and struck a concrete culvert, according to a Kentucky State Police news release.

Mabry died at the scene and didn't appear to be wearing a seat belt, the release said. Speed might have played a role in the accident.
