A long way up, a fast way down.
Thats the story the video told when University of Kentucky All-America diver Christa Cabot agreed to wear a camera to demonstrate the heights of her sport for Kentucky.com and its readers.
Cabot, a junior at UK, performed dives from the 10-meter platform and the 3-meter and 1-meter springboards during a recent practice. She wore a GoPro Camera to provide a glimpse of what she sees during a typical NCAA dive.
Herald-Leader staff photographer Mark Cornelison combined the GoPro video with action he gathered himself to produce the video linked to this article.

2013-14 season: Earned All-America recognition on the 3-meter springboard and on the platform. Cabot advanced to the finals at the NCAA Championships last month for the first time in her career and finished eighth in the 3-meter before an 11th-place finish on platform. She placed 19th in the 1-meter, falling just short of making the finals.
Other honors: In February, Cabot was one of 24 UK athletes to be inducted into the Frank G. Ham Society of Character, which honors Wildcats who have shown an extraordinary commitment to academic excellence, athletic participation, personal development, career preparation and serving as a role model. Cabot has been named to the Southeastern Conference Honor Roll twice and the UK Deans List twice.
