Bryan Station High School student charged with bringing gun to school

A Bryan Station High School student is facing charges after a bringing a gun to school, school officials said.

The student was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon on school property and might face legal consequences, as well as consequences within the Fayette County School District, according to a news release from the school. The student's name was not released.

School officials found out about the gun through tips and started an investigation with the help of Fayette County Public Schools Department of Law Enforcement, the news release said.
