A Lexington man was indicted Wednesday on charges of kidnapping, first-degree rape, two counts of first-degree sodomy, first-degree robbery and receiving stolen property stemming from an abduction last year.

Police say Dominic Parico Coffey, 22, forced a woman into the passenger's side door of her car at gunpoint, drove to an isolated area and raped her in the pre-dawn hours of Dec. 17, according to documents filed in Fayette County Circuit Court.

The woman escaped after Coffey dropped the gun between the car seats. The woman grabbed the gun and ran door-to-door on Bordeaux Drive.

Coffey was being held in the Fayette County Detention Center on $113,000 bond. He's scheduled to be arraigned May 1.
