A Fleming County man is facing several charges after an alleged burglary, Kentucky State Police said.

Troopers arrested Steven D. Fulton, 22, of Ewing on Sunday night after a foot chase and a scuffle, according to the Morehead state police post.

State police said troopers were sent to Delany Road in Fleming County about 7:20 p.m. Sunday to investigate a report of a burglary in progress.

They found Fulton hiding nearby and attempted to take him into custody. Police said Fulton ran off but was arrested after a short altercation with officers.

Fulton suffered minor injuries and was treated at the Fleming County Hospital before being lodged in the Mason County jail, state police said.

He is charged with burglary, resisting arrest and menacing.
