Jim Beam bourbon will launch Distillery Days for bourbon fans on Friday at its American Stillhouse in Clermont, with a special Kentucky Oaks Day celebration.

In honor of the Oaks, the race for 3-year-old fillies at Churchill Downs in Louisville on the day before the Kentucky Derby, Beam will kick things off with an Oaks party from noon to 5 p.m.

In addition to guided tours of the Beam distillery and barbecue from Fred's Smokehouse, the party will include free samplings of the Beam family's mint julep recipes and a chance to meet and mingle with Beam family members. (There is a fee for tours and for barbecue, but music is free.)

Additional monthly activities will include a Father's Day cookout in June, summer concerts, and fall and holiday celebrations. For a complete list of events and other details, go to Americanstillhouse.com.
