Lexington will be getting a new bourbon celebration this fall: the Bourbon Social, a three-day tasting event Oct. 10 to 12.

The lineup of bourbons, as of Thursday, included spirits from Buffalo Trace, Beam, Woodford Reserve and craft distiller Barrel House.

The social was put together by the event-management company LexEffect, and events will include a cocktail competition, food pairings, and a celebration of Southern cuisine and Kentucky Proud products.

Tickets range from $35 to $200. Partial proceeds will benefit the Makenna Foundation, which raises money for the University of Kentucky's pediatric emergency room.

Details on events and how to buy tickets are at Bourbonsocial.com.
