Personnel File local hires and promotions: Week of May 5

Eastern Kentucky University: Scott Cason has been named vice president for communications and marketing. He has served as assistant vice president for communications and marketing at Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill., since 2010. Cason is a native of Cincinnati.


Paladin: Kelsey Leslie, an engineer in training, has joined Lexington-based commissioning and engineering firm. Leslie performs on-site technical assessments, reviews and collects commissioning documentation, and performs testing of building systems.


Citizens Commerce National Bank: Dr. Denis King, owner of the Frankfort Animal Clinic, has joined the bank's board of directors. King is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in Animal Science and is a graduate of the Auburn School of Veterinary Medicine.

Health care

Baptist Health: Dr. David J. Bensema has been named chief information officer, responsible for leading and developing information technology structures across the system. Bensema has been chief medical information officer for Baptist Health since July. A board certified internist, he spent 16 years in private practice in Lexington before he joined the Baptist system in 2006 as executive director of physician services for Central Baptist Hospital, now Baptist Health Lexington, and medical director of Baptist Physicians Lexington.

Humana: Jeff Bringardner, has been named regional market development vice president. Jennifer Willis has been named market vice president for Humana in Kentucky and Indiana.


National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations: Kentucky Pharmacists Association Executive Director Robert "Bob" McFalls, a Lexington resident, has been named a member of the National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations executive committee.

Lexington Habitat for Humanity: The following have been newly elected 2014 board members: Chris Clifford, Chris Crumrine, Roslyn Heise, Marlene Helm, and Andrea James. Additional board members include: Steve Combs, president, David Doss, vice president, Jim Ford, treasurer, Dr. Kathleen Jagger, secretary, Randy Master, Ron Griffin, Abdul Muhammad, Larry Parker, Bob Rouse and Kathy Silberman.
