Fire damages Lexington house; no one injured

May 9, 2014

A fire started in a lower portion of a house on Lexington's Mount McKinley Way before spreading to the top level, according to Battalion Chief Brian Wainscott.

No one was home at the time of the fire that a neighbor reported about 12:10 p.m., Wainscott said. The owner came home after fire crews were on scene. There were no injuries.

"We actually made a pretty quick stop on the fire; it just had a little bit of a head start on us," Wainscott said.
