Crash kills Waco woman

A Waco woman is dead after being involved in a car accident Wednesday morning.

At about 11 a.m., Barbara Carter, 70, drove a 1999 Ford Escort ZX2 off eastbound Dreyfus Road, 3 miles east of U.S. 421. The car overturned, and she was ejected, according to Kentucky State Police.

Carter was the only person in the vehicle, and she was not wearing a seatbelt. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
