Two men have been charged with murder in connection with a break-in and shooting in Knox County this month.

Patrick B. Baker, 36, and Christopher Bradley Wagner, 36, both of London, were arrested about 7 p.m. Friday in connection with the May 9 shooting death of Donald Mills, 29, of Scalf, according to a news release from state police.

State police said more arrests are pending in connection with the murder investigation.

According to police, two armed men claiming to be police officers forced their way through the front door of Mills' home, and Mills struggled with one of the intruders, who shot him. Mills' wife took him to the Knox County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the day of the incident that they did not believe Mills' home was targeted randomly. The intruders were said to have searched the house before leaving.

Baker and Wagner were being held in the Knox County Detention Center.
