Food trucks reorganizing; charity events to continue

The Bluegrass Food Trucks Association has dissolved but the group of food sellers who banded together to lobby for the right to sell lunch in a parking lot will keep going.

The association's president and secretary, Sean and Amanda Tibbetts, who operated Cluckin Burgers, have moved to Washington and left the business, said Matt Bradford of Bradford BBQ, another food truck.

Bradford said he has taken up the reins of Food Trucks for a Cause. The charity lunch events will resume Friday at the lot at Main and Vine Streets in support of Dress for Success Lexington.

A variety of trucks are scheduled to be there each Friday.

On June 13, the food trucks will return to the Herald-Leader parking lot for Food Truck Friday benefiting the Lexington Humane Society.
