Roger M. Million

An inmate who escaped from the Madison County jail last week is back in custody.

Roger M. Million, 24, returned to the Madison County Detention Center about 9 a.m. Friday, Trooper Robert Purdy of the Kentucky State Police said.

Million, who was originally serving time for manufacturing methamphetamine, had escaped from the jail May 23 by cutting a hole in the recreational yard fence.

After his return Friday, police charged Million with second-degree escape and third-degree criminal mischief.

An investigation into the escape is continuing, state police said.
