A Lexington man who died in a single-vehicle wreck on Old Richmond Road Friday night has been identified as Addison Jones, 29.

Jones was driving a vehicle that ran off the side of the road and hit a tree, according to a news release from the Fayette County coroner's office.

The crash happened at 6:38 p.m., police Lt. Kevin Metcalf said. He said police do not know what caused the vehicle to run off the road.

Jones was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force injuries.

Metcalf said the vehicle's engine compartment caught fire, but the fire did not spread to the cabin.
