Pineville man dies in collision with tractor-trailer

A Pineville man was killed Saturday when the truck in which he was riding hit an 18-wheel tractor-trailer. Aaron Baker, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene of the two-vehicle crash in the Log Mountain community of Bell County.

According to Kentucky State Police, Anthony Baker was driving a 2011 GMC pickup north on U.S. 25E about 2 p.m. when he drove underneath the tractor-trailer. Baker and passenger Lisa Hoskins were taken to Pineville Community Hospital. Hoskins was later flown to University of Tennessee Hospital. Their conditions were unknown.

Kenneth Wirt Jr., driver of the tractor-trailer, was not injured. The collision remains under investigation.
