Personnel File local hires and promotions: Week of June 2

Bluegrass & Trust Co.: Josh Harman, vice president, relationship manager and mortgage loan originator, has been promoted to home loan coordinator.

Community Trust Bank: Berry L. Popp has been promoted to market assistant vice president. Popp is the branch manager at 3090 Richmond Road.

Farmers Bank & Capital Trust Co.: James E. Clouse has been appointed to the board of directors. Clouse is a managing partner of Charles T. Mitchell Co., a Frankfort accounting firm.

MassMutual Kentucky-West Virginia Agency: Jeffrey W. Slattery has been named a general agent. Slattery began his career in financial services in 1987 in Hartford, Conn., after serving eight years in the Marine Corps.

Traditional Bank: Anthony C. Baker, executive vice president and chief operations officer for Traditional Bank, has been named to the board of directors. The following new directors have been added to the bank's regional board: Karen R. Bushart, Winchester; T. David Dean, Winchester; John Michael Helton, Frenchburg; Dr. Barton C. McFarland, Paris; and G. Davis Wilson, Paris.


Thompson Miller & Simpson: Jonathan H. Matthews has joined the firm as an associate. Matthews will practice in the fields of commercial and health care litigation.


Kentucky Chamber of Commerce: Hood Harris, president of AT&T Kentucky, and John Crockett III, chairman of Frost Brown Todd, have been elected to the board of directors.

The University of Kentucky Department of Retailing and Tourism Management: The following industry professionals have been named to the department's advisory board: Andrea Bailey, general merchandising manager, UK Bookstore; Rodney Branum, Target store team leader; Karla DiNardo, president of National Tour Association Services; Haley Harris, store manager at White House/Black Market at Hamburg Pavilion; Matt Higgins, manager at Buffalo Trace Distillery Visitor Center; Ty Slone McBrayer, owner of Twirl Boutique; Mary Quinn Ramer, vice president of tourism marketing at VisitLex; George Ward, executive director at Coldstream Research Campus.
