Keep watch for Triple Crown at Keeneland

Will California Chrome claim the Triple Crown? Keeneland will host a Belmont Day party on Saturday. Admission and parking at Keeneland are free. Gates open at 9 a.m., Grandstand mutuel windows open at 11:05 a.m. Belmont's first race is 11:35 a.m., and the Belmont Stakes is at 6:52 p.m. You may bring your own picnic items including food and lawn chairs, but not alcohol. Kick up those heels

Jump, jive and wail at Swingin' on Short. The free street dance is 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday at Robert F. Stephens Courthouse Plaza, 120 North Limestone. The evening will include free dance lessons, live music by Keith Jones and the Makeshifts, and a dance contest during intermission. Luv2swingdance.com.

KET has sizzle, salsa, 'Stars'

Kentucky Educational Television plans to put some "Sizzle and Salsa" in your weekend with its classy annual Summer Celebration benefit. The marquee guest is Dancing With the Stars pro Lacey Schwimmer, and honorary chairs for the event are University of Football Coach Mark Stoops and his wife, Chantel Stoops. It's 7 p.m. to midnight Friday at Donamire Farm, 4151 Old Frankfort Pike. Tickets — $150 each or $1,500 for a table of eight — are available at 1-800-866 0366 or Ket.org/support.

Berea is a fair place for art

Artists from Kentucky and other states will gather at the Historic Indian Fort Theatre in Berea for the Kentucky Guild of Artists & Craftsmen's Spring Fair. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults, free for ages 12 and younger. Go to Kyguild.org for more info.
