Corbin man killed in crash on Cumberland Gap Parkway

A Corbin man was killed in a two-vehicle crash early Thursday, according to state police.

The crash happened when Willard H. Eaton, 77, of Corbin pulled his 1999 Toyota Camry from a parking lot into the path of a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Christopher L. Davis, 27, of Guntersville, Ala., police said in a news release.

Eaton was taken to the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin, where he was pronounced dead.

Eaton was not wearing a seat belt. Davis, who was wearing a seat belt, was not hurt, according to police.

The wreck happened at about 8 a.m. on the Cumberland Gap Parkway.
