Lexington police are looking for two men who tried to sexually assault a woman outside her home.

Police Lt. Raymond Roller said it happened about 10:40 a.m. Thursday at a residence on Courtland Drive, not far from Dixie and Deep Springs elementary schools and Bryan Station Road.

According to police, the woman was in the yard outside her home when two men approached, seized her wrists and tried to sexually assault her before fleeing on foot.

Roller described the suspects as white men with brown hair and heavily built. One was wearing a white shirt and dark shorts, the other was wearing a dark shirt and jeans.

He said the case was unusual because of the time it occurred.

"An attempted sexual assault at 10:40 in the morning is pretty blatant," he said.
