Westbound Interstate 64 near Shelbyville reopened Sunday night, hours after it had been closed because of an overturned tractor-trailer.

No one was injured in the accident, reported about 2:15 p.m., Kentucky State Police said.

State police said a 2011 Freightliner driven by John S. Gregory of Winden, Ga., dropped off the westbound shoulder of the interstate, causing the vehicle to overturn. The trailer came to rest in the ditchline, with a load of plywood material scattered across the interstate near mile marker 28.

During the accident, state police said, a diesel tank was torn from the vehicle and landed in an adjacent creek.
