Part of U.S. 68 in Mercer County to be closed for up to 3 weeks

June 9, 2014

A 21/2-mile portion of U.S. 68 between Coghill Lane and the Brooklyn Bridge in Mercer County will be closed for two to three weeks starting at 7 a.m. Tuesday to complete slide repair work, the state Department of Highways said.

Only emergency vehicles and local residents will be allowed to pass through the work zone.

The suggested alternate route is U.S 68. west to U.S. 127 B north (Harrodsburg Bypass) to U.S. 127 north to Ky. 9002 (Bluegrass Parkway east) to Ky. 33 south to U.S. 68, and vice-versa. Signs and traffic control devices will be in place.
