Michael Wayne Crowe

A Lawrenceburg man admitted to police that he caused his wife's death last month at a Lexington motel, court records show.

Michael Wayne Crowe, 37, has been charged with murder in the death of Felicia Walker on May 3 at the America's Best Value Inn on Versailles Road, according to documents filed in Fayette Circuit Court.

The coroner's office has not yet released an official cause of death.

Crowe was arrested Friday at Lexington police headquarters.

Walker's body was found in the motel room about 7 p.m. May 3.

Lexington police previously had said that Walker and her husband apparently had checked into the motel a day or so before she was found and that they had spent at least one night there.

Witnesses at the hotel said they heard screaming and sounds of fighting coming from the room where Walker was found, according to police.

Crowe is being held in the Fayette County jail without bond, which the court denied on grounds that Crowe is a flight risk and a danger to himself and others.
