Female inmate fails to return to Madison jail after medical furlough

June 15, 2014

Kentucky State Police are looking for a Madison County woman who didn't return to the Madison County Detention Center after being released for a medical appointment.

Flora J. Carrier, 38, of Richmond, was granted a medical furlough Friday. Kentucky State Police were notified of her escape Saturday afternoon.

When granted the furlough Friday morning, Carrier was told to return to the jail as soon as the appointment was over, authorities said.

Carrier was being held on charges related to theft by deception.
