A 63-year-old Corbin man was killed Sunday night when his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck.

The Whitley County coroner's office identified the victim as Michael King. He died at the scene.

The wreck happened about 8:15 p.m. on Devil's Creek Road, not far from Cumberland Falls, Kentucky State Police said.

King was traveling west when his motorcycle collided head-on with an eastbound pickup truck driven William Hinkle, 21, also of Corbin.

State police said Hinkle's truck apparently crossed the center line for unknown reasons and collided with the motorcycle.

Troopers said Hinkle will be charged with driving without insurance. The investigation is continuing.

Neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected as factors, police said.
