Groovy way to give

Give Into the Groove, the annual benefit for local charities, is 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Whitaker Bank Ballpark, 207 Legends Lane. The event will feature live and electronic music, multimedia art and fashion. And the $5 admission will be donated to the charity of your choice. Go to for more info.

Catch some air time

The Cosmic Invasion Skateboard Competition rolls into Woodland Park from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday. The day will include beginner, intermediate, and advanced jam-style competitions, acts from Blue Moon Circus and live music. Admission is free, $5 to compete. Go to for more info.

Drum along

Drums in the Bluegrass, a Drum Corps International competition, will feature groups from four states: The Cavaliers from Illinois; the Bluecoats and the Cincinnati Tradition from Ohio; the Blue Stars from Wisconsin; and the Spirit of Atlanta from Georgia. The action starts at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, 1600 Man o' War Boulevard. Tickets are $22 to $25.

Live it up at Ashland

Ashland, The Henry Clay Estate will host a lawn party 5:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday at 120 Sycamore Road. The evening will include dinner and an auction to raise money for upkeep of the historic grounds. Shining examples

For a taste of what's to come at Keeneland's Concours d'Elegance in July, check out the Maserati Mingle from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Robert F.
