Free bluegrass show to feature Osborne Band, fiddling sisters

The Rock Fence Park Concerts Series returns to Nicholasville at 7 p.m. Saturday with a performance by the Dean Osborne Band. The free bluegrass show will be preceded by the fiddling sisters Allie and Kelly Hagan. Concessions available from Wildcat Wings. Parking available at Central Bank and Hagar Cundiff Funeral Home. Learn to paint watercolors

The Wilmore Community Center at Wesley Village is recruiting students for a watercolor painting class that will meet Tuesday mornings in August. The class will be led by former University of Kentucky Donovan Scholar instructor Jennifer Bacon. The first class will be at 10 a.m. Aug. 5. Blood drive Saturday

The Kentucky Blood Center will hold a mobile blood drive from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Nicholasville Sam's Club, 140 Kohls Drive. Donors must be in good health, weigh at least 110 pounds, have a photo I.D. and be at least 17 years old. Prospective donors must complete a confidential health questionnaire and pass a mini-physical. For more info, call (859) 276-2534.
