A Pulaski County moped rider died Monday from injuries suffered in a collision with a pickup truck on Sunday.

Shane Redden, 41, was crossing U.S. 27 in Eubank on the moped at 5:22 p.m. Sunday when the pickup hit him in the southbound lane, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department. He was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, where he died, according to a news release from the Fayette County Coroner's Office.

Redden was wearing a helmet, and police don't said it didn't appear that speed, drugs or alcohol played a role. His death has been ruled accidental.
