Alltech's Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co. announced Wednesday that distribution of Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale has expanded to Texas, New Mexico and New Hampshire.

Distribution also will move into Pennsylvania, South Carolina, New Jersey, Connecticut and Rhode Island in late summer and early fall, including an expanded reach in current territories of Illinois and Tennessee, bringing total distribution to 25 states.

Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale is an amber beer that is aged for at least six weeks in freshly decanted bourbon barrels, Alltech says.

Already available internationally in Canada, Ireland, France and China, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale recently became available on a limited scale in Hungary. Eventually the entire Alltech line should be available, including seasonal releases.
