'The Goonies' at dusk

Fountain Films on Friday continues with a free screening of the 1985 movie The Goonies, starring Josh Brolin and Sean Astin. Activities start at 7 p.m. on Friday at Triangle Park at South Broadway and West Main Street. The movie starts at dusk, about 8:45 p.m. Go to for more info.

Townies in Suburbia

Coralee and the Townies will perform a free concert at Summer Nights in Suburbia from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the MoonDance at Midnight Pass Amphitheater, 1152 Monarch Street, inside Beaumont Centre Circle.

Ready to roll

In roller derby action, The Rollergirls of Central Kentucky take on the Glass City Rollers out of Toledo, Ohio. The bout starts at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Lexington Convention Center, 430 West Vine Street. Tickets are $10 in advance at, $12 at the door, $5 for ages 7 to 12. Go to for more info.
