Lexington robbery suspect arrested in Logan County

A suspect wanted in a Lexington robbery and beating last month has been arrested in Logan County.

Derrick L. Quarles, 21, was arrested Friday by Kentucky State Police in Logan County on two counts of first-degree robbery.

Quarles is wanted in connection with a robbery June 21 on State Street. Two men forced their way into an apartment, assaulted two occupants and then fled with a computer and other items.

At least one of the victims was struck on the head with a hammer, Lexington police said.
