A Williamsburg man has pleaded guilty to possessing and distributing child pornography.

Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway said William Parrish, 39, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Whitley Circuit Court to one count of possessing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, and three counts of distributing such materials.

The charges stemmed from an undercover investigation by the attorney general's cybercrimes unit. Authorities seized computers containing child porn images and videos from Parrish's home in 2012.

Prosecutors have recommended that Parrish serve six years in prison.

He is scheduled for sentencing Oct. 6.
