Lexington police said they are searching for two teenagers in connection with a shooting Monday morning.

Charles Taylor, 18, and Lamarius Gates, 19, are wanted in connection for the shooting at Shopper's Choice on Georgetown Street that left one man with non-life threatening injuries, according to a news release from the department.

Taylor is charged with first-degree assault, and Gates is charged with first-degree complicity to assault.

At 11:07 a.m. Monday, police were called to Shopper's Choice where they found a man with gunshot wounds to his shin and buttocks. The man said he was shot at the store by an unknown person, the release said.

On Tuesday, police released surveillance video of two men engaging in a conversation with the man who was shot. One man shot a gun, and both men were seen fleeing the Shopper's Choice after the shots were fired. Anyone with information about Taylor and Gates should call police at (859) 258-3600.
