Patriotic music concert launches July Fourth festivities in Lexington

Lexington got into the Fourth of July spirit on Thursday night with a patriotic concert on the lawn of Transylvania University's Old Morrison Building. The 202nd Army Band of the Kentucky National Guard and University of Kentucky School of Music singers performed. See two photo galleries from the event: 1, 2.

Festivities in Lexington on Friday will include the Bluegrass 10,000. Former University of Kentucky All-American Thomas Morgan will be competing. Watch Kentucky.com for photos and a story from the race.
