Stabbing at Fourth of July party

Lexington police said a man was stabbed at a Fourth of July party early Saturday.

Lexington police learned of the incident when the 19-year-old victim was brought into the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital for treatment.

According to a report by WLEX-TV, the altercation took place when the victim tried to intervene in an argument. Police say the man who stabbed him was described as a black male, 6 feet, 3inches tall, weighing about 165 pounds.

Police said the victim's injuries were non-life threatening.
