Rick Scalf Gallery, a landscape photography gallery located at 135 West Main Street, has opened. An official grand opening will be 6-9 p.m. July 19.

Scalf, a physician and artist, has photographed his travels around North America and sells custom-sized and -framed photographs in his gallery. A portion of the profits items purchased from Rick Scalf Gallery goes to Nicholasville-based All God's Children, a nationally accredited, private, not-for-profit corporation, that has been working with children since 1999. Bellhops, a company specializing in local, small-scale moving help, has opened in Lexington. Bellhops employs only college students and each customer receives a picture, profile and biography of each bellhop who will be on their moving job before they show up.

Bellhops operates in 121 cities, contracting more than 8,000 college students across the country to provide local moving help in their communities. For more information, go to
