A Morehead man was hospitalized after his motorcycle crashed Sunday afternoon in Rowan County, Kentucky State Police said.

Jeffrey Warren, 53, was traveling north on Ky. 801 when he failed to negotiate a curve on his Harley-Davison and the motorcycle struck a guardrail, troopers said.

It slid across two lanes of traffic, coming to rest on the shoulder of the southbound lane, according to state police.

Warren, who was not wearing a helmet, was flown to UK.

The crash, which occurred near Farmers, remains under investigation.
