Two people died after a single-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway in Russell County, Kentucky State Police said.

Kenneth Bell, 54, of Louisville, a passenger in a 1997 Toyota, died at the scene, according to the Columbia state police post.

The driver, Dana Bell, 55, also of Louisville, was flown to University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center, where she died Monday.

The wreck happened about 4:15 p.m. CDT Sunday, about nine miles east of Russell Springs, police said.

State police said Dana Bell was driving west on the parkway when the car apparently dropped off the edge of the pavement. She over-corrected then lost control, police said.

The car crossed both lanes of the parkway and left the road, then flipped multiple times before coming to a stop on a hillside, police said.

Neither victim was wearing a seat belt, according to police reports.
